Diese Kurzgeschichten sind jede für sich lang genug, um ordentlich Spannung aufzubauen. Inhaltlich passen sie bestens in die Dresden-Reihe herein und machen abgesehen von neuen Abenteuern auch vieles klarer, z.B. das Aufsteigen der Fomor, Mollys Aufgaben als Winter Lady oder warum Dresden in Skin Games Anspielungen auf River Shoulders gemacht hat.Die letzte der Geschichten spielt nach Skin Games und ist geradezu ein Kunstwerk, dieselbe Handlung dreimal hintereinander aus der Sicht von Harry, Maggie und Mouse. Und jedesmal unglaublich berührend!
With this short stories Jim Butcher gives us the absolute awesome opportunity to see the perspectives of other very important and interesting characters besides Harry Dresden himself. Also some questions get answered which in my oppinion where more than just appreciated. I loved to get a look at how the people surrounding Harry manage life especially seeing how the actions of Harry influenced them to be better and in some cases to be more involved with the supernatural community as there were before. I am thankful for the different angle Jim Butcher took in Brief Cases. Love it as much as all of the Dresden Files and in some cases even a little bit more ;)
One of the greatest series ever written. It’s dramatic and funny and never boring.This book contains short stories which complete the plot of the 15 novels.Great read, big fan!The narrator is a perfect fit.
Butcher excelled as usual in making me finish his book in one go. The stories add some nice details for fan of the series and give a glimpse of what I suppose will be future side characters.

I realy like all the Dresden Files and I enjoy listening to these outstandingly well read short stories. They are placed in between the main books and fill some angles that have not yet been told. For example we hear about Rivershoulders, who will only be referenced but not appear himself in Skin Game or enjoy Thomas perspective when recuing his Little brother.
